This was my first attempt at creating a freestyle (no reference photos) life-like face. The vertices ran away from me and the face began to look cartoonish so I went with it.

This time we got Son 1, a brutish person ready for battle and ready to take a hit. An orc of a man, more beast than human. He’s seen it all and is tired of your shit. He wears an old mickey mouse ringer t-shirt and dares you to mention it.

There’s a peculiar charm to seeing someone who is expected to be a toughie—scars, distressed—wearing something as whimsical as a cartooned shirt. It creates an unexpected dissonance.

“I’m more than what you see.” grunted Son under his breath.
