1 34-f (halfling) – acrylic on vinyl – 2005

painted during a time I was doing a lot of record shopping, looking for the perfect sample. I’d buy ten or more at a time at 99 cents a pop. found some gems but mostly duds which got turned into Impromptu canvases.

This one was an exploration into the actual vinyl itself as part of the piece and not just a canvas. i broke one and painted it, later screwing it to another piece. The forms on this one are also graffiti inspired, like machinery coming from the depths of a Turbulent ocean green. The orange bio-form has made itself known and lurks above the waves.
