Upper Chippewa Territory, New America 2113 – Photoshop – circa 2013
A rough and rugged quick digital sketch done in photoshop. I like the idea of the tech divide as a theme to explore in art. the Juxtaposition of advanced technology against a rural background. Sort of like the star wars scenes in mos eisley, the mix of ancient sandstone structures and futuristic technology in a cool visual.
For today’s post, This digital drawing shows the tech divide of the Upper Chip, good ole New Murka. Rural backdrop with two personal flyers zooming by.
“Upper Chippewa” refers to the northern portion of the historical lands inhabited by the Ojibwe (Chippewa) people, encompassing areas in northern Wisconsin, parts of Minnesota, and extending into parts of southern Canada, particularly Ontario. This region includes the headwaters of the Chippewa River and adjacent lands where the Ojibwe lived, hunted, and traded prior to European settlement.
